0296 - Wilderness Challenge Camp at Wahsega 4-H Center
Description
Wilderness Challenge Camp at Wahsega 4-H Center in the North Georgia Mountains is a week-long camp for current *6th, 7th, or 8th graders. Campers will experience outdoor adventures and learn about shelter making, campfires, outdoor cooking, water purification and geology. Cost includes lodging, meals, transportation, plus canopy ziplining, kayaking, and whitewater rafting trip. $75 non-refundable deposit is due no later than March 27, 2024. Limited spots available. Final camp payment is due by May 10, 2024. *6th graders must be 12 years old by June 17, 2024.Location
Wahsega 4-H Center is located in Dahlonega, GA; however, transportation is managed by the local Extension office.Requirements
Only current 4-H youth in this county should be registered for this event. If you are not from this county, please contact your local Extension office for more information regarding 4-H programming in your area.
After registration, the following forms are required for participation.
- The Georgia 4-H Medical Information and Release Form should be completed before this activity. This form allows you to share important information with us so we can provide the best care for your child.
- Should any medication be required during the activity, the Georgia 4-H Medicine Form and the medication should be given to the Extension chaperone upon arrival.
- The Georgia 4-H Code of Conduct establishes guidelines for expected behavior standards and consequences of misbehavior.
